Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Your privacy is critically important to us. At Physical Inventory: Assets, we have a few fundamental principles:
- We are thoughtful about the information we collect and how we use it.
- We do not collect or store your inventory data or personal information on our servers.
- All data generated by the app remains on your device unless you explicitly export it.
- We aim for full transparency on how we gather and use information.
Below is our Privacy Policy, which incorporates and clarifies these principles.
Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to information that we collect about you when you use the Physical Inventory: Assets mobile application for iOS. Physical Inventory: Assets is a physical asset inventory and auditing app that allows users to import asset lists, scan barcodes, track audit status, and export results as CSV or XLSX files.
Information We Collect
We only collect information about you if we have a reason to do so — for example, to provide our app functionality or to improve our services.
Information You Provide to Us
- Asset Data: When you import a CSV file, the asset records (barcodes, descriptions, and custom fields) are stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. This data is never uploaded or transmitted to our servers.
- Operator Name: If the operator field is enabled in settings, you may enter a name to identify who performed the audit. This name is stored locally on your device and is included in exported files only.
- Audit Notes: Any notes you add to individual asset records are stored locally on your device.
- Camera Access: The app requires access to your device's camera solely to scan barcodes. No images are captured, stored, or transmitted.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version to help us provide technical support and improve the app.
- Usage Information: We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how users interact with the app and to improve its features.
- Advertising Information: If you have not purchased the "Remove Ads" feature, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information such as device identifiers, IP address, and usage patterns to serve relevant ads. Please see Google's Privacy Policy for more information: https://policies.google.com/privacy
How and Why We Use Information
We use information about you for the following purposes:
- To provide our service: To enable the core functionality of importing asset lists, scanning barcodes, recording audit results, and exporting reports.
- To improve our app: To analyze usage patterns and identify areas for improvement.
- To provide customer support: To respond to your support requests and troubleshoot issues.
- To display advertisements: If you have not purchased "Remove Ads," we use AdMob to show ads that help support the development of the app.
- To process in-app purchases: We use Apple's StoreKit to process your purchase of the "Remove Ads" feature. We do not collect or store your payment information — this is handled entirely by Apple.
Data Export
Physical Inventory: Assets allows you to export your audit results as CSV or XLSX files using the iOS share sheet. These files are generated locally on your device and shared only through the channels you explicitly choose (email, cloud storage, AirDrop, etc.). We do not receive or store any exported data.
Sharing Information
We do not sell or share your personal information. The limited sharing that occurs is described below:
- Third-Party Services: We use Google AdMob for advertising (if ads have not been removed). AdMob may collect and use information as described in their privacy policy.
- Apple App Store: In-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect transaction information as described in their privacy policy.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
Important: Your asset inventory data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it using the app's export feature.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the free version of the app. AdMob uses advertising identifiers and may collect information about your device and app usage to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings or by purchasing the "Remove Ads" feature.

Your Rights and Choices
You have several choices available when it comes to information about you:
- Camera Access: You can disable camera access for Physical Inventory: Assets in your device settings. Note that this will prevent barcode scanning functionality.
- Remove Ads: You can purchase the "Remove Ads" feature to eliminate all advertisements and stop AdMob data collection.
- Delete Your Data: Since all inventory data is stored locally on your device, you can delete the app and all associated data at any time by removing it from your device.
Data Retention
Physical Inventory: Assets does not store your inventory data, operator names, or audit results on any server. All data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. When you close an audit session within the app, all session data is permanently removed from the local database. When you delete the app, all remaining app data is removed from your device.
Security
Since all your data remains on your device, the security of your information is primarily managed by your device's built-in security features. We do not transmit your inventory data to any server, which eliminates many common security risks associated with cloud storage.
Children's Privacy
Physical Inventory: Assets is designed for business and enterprise use. It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is not directed at children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
