Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

PCTransfer is a Wi-Fi file transfer app that turns your iPhone into a local web server, allowing you to transfer files between your iPhone and any PC on the same Wi-Fi network using a standard web browser.

We only collect information about you if we have a reason to do so — for example, to provide our app functionality or to improve our services.

Information You Provide to Us

• Files: Files you import into the app or receive from your PC are stored locally in the app's Documents folder on your device. These files are never uploaded or transmitted to our servers.
• Local Network Access: The app requires access to your local Wi-Fi network to create a local HTTP server. This server is only accessible to devices on the same Wi-Fi network and is active only while you have the server enabled in the app. No data is transmitted to the internet.

Information We Collect Automatically

• Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version to help us provide technical support and improve the app.
• Usage Information: We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how users interact with the app and to improve its features.
• Advertising Information: If you have not purchased PCTransfer Pro, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information such as device identifiers, IP address, and usage patterns to serve relevant ads. How and Why We Use Information

We use information about you for the following purposes:

• To provide our service: To enable the core functionality of creating a local Wi-Fi server, transferring files between your iPhone and PC, and managing files in the app.

• To provide customer support: To respond to your support requests and troubleshoot issues.
• To display advertisements: If you have not purchased PCTransfer Pro, we use AdMob to show ads that help support the development of the app.
• To process in-app purchases: We use Apple's StoreKit to process your purchase of PCTransfer Pro. We do not collect or store your payment information — this is handled entirely by Apple.

File Transfer and Local Server

PCTransfer creates a temporary local HTTP server on your iPhone that is accessible only to devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This server is active only when you explicitly enable it within the app. All file transfers occur directly between your iPhone and your PC over your local network — no data passes through our servers or the internet.

Sharing Information

We do not sell or share your personal information. The limited sharing that occurs is described below:

• Third-Party Services: We use Google AdMob for advertising (if PCTransfer Pro has not been purchased). AdMob may collect and use information as described in their privacy policy.
• Apple App Store: In-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect transaction information as described in their privacy policy.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

Important: Your files never leave your device through our servers. All transfers happen directly over your local Wi-Fi network.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the free version of the app. AdMob uses advertising identifiers and may collect information about your device and app usage to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings or by purchasing PCTransfer Pro.

Your Rights and Choices

• Local Network Access: You can disable local network access for PCTransfer in your device settings. Note that this will prevent the app from creating a Wi-Fi server and transferring files.
• PCTransfer Pro: You can purchase PCTransfer Pro to eliminate all advertisements and stop AdMob data collection.
• Delete Your Files: Since all files are stored locally on your device, you can delete individual files within the app or remove the app entirely to delete all associated data.

Data Retention

PCTransfer does not store your files or personal data on any server. All files are stored locally in the app's Documents folder on your device. When you delete a file within the app or uninstall the app, the associated data is removed from your device.

Security

The local Wi-Fi server created by PCTransfer is accessible only to devices on the same local network and is active only when you explicitly enable it. All data transfers occur entirely within your local network. We do not transmit your files to any external server, which eliminates common security risks associated with cloud storage.

Children's Privacy

PCTransfer is a general-purpose file transfer utility. It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is not directed at children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
